006: [Accidental Video] He's back

[The video shows a thin man wearing bloody clothes is curled up in a fetal position on the lawn. In fact he's in the same place he died. He doesn't scream but it's clear by the grimace on his face, he'd like to scream. He is crying because he remembers it all, the pain, the disappointment, the betrayal and that tiny bit of hope he felt just before she killed him. He also remembers the cold and the way he just felt lost. There's nothing after this. At least not here. There's just black and number and cold.]

Help

[His voice is just a raspy whisper and he's not even sure what he's asking for help for. He's uninjured now. It just hurts so much he's afraid he'll buckle under it.]

[OOC: Spencer is back. He died during the Faith plot for those of you that don't know. She gutted him. This is his first death]

[She immediately heads for that end of the property, running at top speed.]

Hold tight.

[It's not long before she spots him from a distance and calls out to him as she speeds up to close the gap between them.]

Reid!

[He looks up when he sees Max running at him full speed. He pulls himself into a sitting position, taking stock. Nope definitely no stabs wounds. He's still wearing bloody clothes though. Nice.]

M-Max. Th-thank you for coming f-for me.

[Max reaches him, sliding towards him on her knees and immediately grabbing a shoulder as her other hand feels around for a wound.]

Don't go thanking me for something like that.

[She looks up at him, then, not sure whether to be aghast or impressed.]

The blood's not yours?

[He shakes his head even though the answer isn't entirely accurate which is why he forces out words]

It wa-was. She sliced open my abdomen. I tr-tried to talk her down. I th-thought I was making progress wi-with her.

[Yes that is disappointment in his voice and he is wearing the puppy face]

[She gazes at him, confused, before putting two and two together.]

Shit. Shit, she-...

[She knows what it's like to die, but that doesn't make it any easier to know that he's just been murdered. She's upset. Very upset.]

I'm so sorry. I didn't know that she-.... I was helping Dean and I....

Does it hurt? Can you walk?

[He's not terribly coherent or chronological with his thinking right now. It's a bit all over the place which means his explanations are too. Her words kind of run over him rather than actually reaching him. The only thing he really processes is her apology and her questions. Once she asks a question, his scattered brain is able to realize there's an answer expected of him. He has to think about her questions though. Yes it hurts but not the way she means. All of his pain is mental so he nods in response. He starts to stand up slowly, shivering as he does.]

[Max immediately moves to grab him, draping his arm over her shoulders as she puts an arm around him to keep him from falling. She doesn't remember a lot of physical pain after her mansion death, but that doesn't mean anything. She isn't normal; he is. She has no idea what he's feeling right now. It's with that thought in mind that she gently leads him back towards the mansion.]

Come on, stay with me. I'll take you back to your room; things'll be okay. You'll see.

[Physically, he's fine. Emotionally and mentally, he's still reeling.]

I'm okay. Th-thank you.

Like hell you're okay.

[Her tone is light and she tries to smile at him, wanting to draw him out and gauge how badly he's hurt.]

You'll be okay when you're warm in bed and not swathed in bloody clothes. Red's not really your color, boo.

[He can't argue with her there. He's not okay and he will feel better then so he smiles slightly at her.]

I g-guess not. Th-that sounds good. Hot b-bath too.

[Reid's kind of a girl. He likes baths.]

[Encouraged by his words, Max smirks a bit, though the concern's still in her eyes.]

Well, I can get the water going for ya, but nothing beyond that's gonna happen unless I get dinner out of the deal.

[And that makes him blush so he's starting to come out of the shock he was in]

N-no I d-didn't mean--j-just starting it would be g-great.

[She can't help laughing; even bloody and disorienting, that blush is still awkwardly cute.]

Damn, and here I was hoping to milk some food out of the deal.

[She tightens her grip on him slightly, still smirking.]

That was a joke, by the way. I don't wanna go messing with your head that bad.

[His chuckle is a little nervous and he nods in response]

M-maybe af-after I feel better we can have l-lunch. I can th-thank you for h-helping me.

[The smirk fades away as she shakes her head, looking away from him as she leads him into the mansion.]

You don't gotta thank me. I couldn't do nothing to stop what happened to you, so I should be apologizing, really.

[Even in the shape he's in, Reid shakes his head]

N-no. Faith was--I don't think anyone could have s-stopped her sh-short of...

[He doesn't say 'killing her' because he's still torn on the whole matter and the right and wrong of it]

I could've stopped her. I should've. She might be a dangerous bitch, but I was made for this kinda thing. Besides... I died before. It ain't such a big deal to me anymore.

[Reid doesn't say anything in response. He's not sure there is anything to say]

Th-thanks. I m-mean--Did you die in the mansion?

[She hesitates for a moment before deciding that a straight answer is probably best.]

Yeah. Mansion made me pitch a fit; Ryohei had to take me out before I could do the same to him.

What's your room number?

[Reid can understand that. He might not like it but he can understand it.]

First Floor, room f-fifteen.

[She begins to lead him over in that direction, saying nothing else until she gets to his door and opens it, helping him in.]

You good to stand on your own for a bit?

Y-yes

[He follows her inside the room. Really he is alright physically. Just traumatized]

[Releasing him, Max heads for the bathroom, flicking on the light. As she goes about drawing a bath, she calls out to him over the running water.]

I'm gonna set this up for you, okay? If you need me to crash here until you're done, I can do that. But I'm not planning on seeing anything rated past PG-13, if that's gonna be an issue.

[Reid sits against the edge of the bed while Max is in the bathroom.]

I think I'll be okay. Th-thank you though.

If you're sure. But once you're out, send a flare or something my way. Just so I know you didn't stumble over your feet and give yourself a concussion in the tub.
